As which user you were connected when creating these tables. Hopefully not
system, or even worse SYS.
As which user you are connected when using the Navigator. Evidently not the
same user.
Advice: you can't learn Oracle by just hacking away.
Read those manuals at http://technet.oracle.com, buy Oracle the complete
reference, and stop using 7.x It has been officially buried by Oracle, and
you should do the same.
