I joined a company as contract helpdesk and managed to pick up a Junior DBA
post. You tend to find that most companies want experience, so, if you were
a developer, it may be a good place to start. Failing that the next best
thing would be to pick up cover ( again form the helpdesk ) and prove that
you can do it.
