Yes it shouldn't be a problem.

Just make sure that you only perform a Schema export (User) of the owner of all the objects. In other words, the owner of the objects you need ttaccess
should not belong to SYS nor SYSTEM.

Then create a user on the Oracle 8 database and import the objects into that schema.
