Hi there

I am new to oracle and think it is an excellent system, all the databases I have viewed have been first rate!

I am considering creating all my future databases in oracle.

I have some small question that if answered would be of great help to me.If some kind soul could find the time to answer them I would be very grateful!

Q1) If I want create to create an oracle database do I need to have oracle server
installed?

Q2) If I have an already created oracle database and I then want to play with it, passing some SQL statements to it and so on, do I need oracle server installed as well as the client or just the client ?

Thank you for all of your attention and kind help.

Yours sincerely
