Accessing Oracle8i through Router - newbie qn??

I am facing a problem of accessing the Oracle8i DB through the internet.

Oracle8i was installed on a server (WinNT Server 4) that is connected to the internet via a router that employs the use of NAT (Network address translators). There are no firewalls configured here.

We have an Apache webserver co-locating on the same server as the Oracle8i. Reason why I want to access the DB through the internet is such that I can bring my work home and still connect to the DB.
