do you have any further details on this bug. I have searched TechNet and can't find any mention of it. Our developers are getting a wee bit edgy now !

Known bug. Make sure you do an ANALYZE TABLE on the table and that
should
solve the problem. Otherwise you could alter your session to
specifically
select the rule-based optimizer.
