A search in the Registry Editor for "tns_admin" returns no results (same on development box). I find "traces" of TNS under:

HKLM/SYSTEM/CONTROLSET001/ENUM/ROOT LEGACY_ORACLEORAHOME81TNSLISTENER (same on dev except here I find a Control key under the 0000 key)
HKLM/SYSTEM/CONTROLSET001/SERVICES ORACLEORAHOME81TNSLISTENER (same on dev except here I find a Enum key)
HKLM/SYSTEM/CONTROLSET003/ENUM/ROOT LEGACY_ORACLEORAHOME81TNSLISTENER (same on dev except here I don't find a Control key under the 0000 key)
HKLM/SYSTEM/CONTROLSET001/SERVICES ORACLEORAHOME81TNSLISTENER (same on dev except here I don't find a Enum key)
HKLM/CURRENTCONTROLSET/ENUM/ROOT LEGACY_ORACLEORAHOME81TNSLISTENER (same on dev)
HKLM/SYSTEM/CURRENTCONTROLSET/SERVICES ORACLEORAHOME81TNSLISTENER (same on dev)

With "same" I mean EXACTLY the same (both Keys and Values).

Under HKLM\Software\Oracle I found the following differences:

No OLEDB key
No OO4O key
In the HOME0 key I have the following string value (not present on dev):

ORA_PLURIMED_PFILE = "E:\Oracle\admin\plurimed\pfile\initplurimed.ora"

Should it point to

E:\Oracle\Ora81\sysman\ifiles\def_PLURIMED.PLURIMEDIA.IT.ora?

As you can imagine, all the above described stuff comes from the installer: I'm not experienced enough to even think about modifying/creating it.
