SQL Script to graphical representation of datamodel.
Heraut Solutions announces the availability of
"ImportER for DeZign", which assures that database
developers can import their SQL scripts into our
database modeling tool "DeZign for databases" and
access DeZign's advanced modeling technology. The
release of "ImportER for DeZign" represents Heraut's
continuing commitment to design productivity and model
precision for database professionals.
"ImportER" offers the ability to import SQL files
containing DDL statements for tables and domains (user
defined datatypes) into the database design tool
"DeZign for databases". It incorporates a SQL parser
that can derive a graphical data model from such SQL
scripts.
When parsing SQL scripts, ImportER captures complete specifications for column definitions, object placement, table constraints, and object definitions. ImportER can import SQL scripts for the following database platforms: Oracle, Interbase, IBM DB2, MySQL, Ansi Level2, MS SQLServer, Ingres, Informix, SQL Anywhere and Sybase.
"ImportER" can only be used in combination with "DeZign
for databases".
