Q: memory req. for Oracle8i?

According to the spec. of Oracle8i onLinux, a minimum of 128 MB RAM is required
to install the Oracle8i products and 256 MB or more may be required to enable Java
VM.

Is 256 MB really good enough for a database with size 10GB? I have a really tight budget, so this issue is really important to me. Thank you very much for your help and reply.
