REP-3002 ERROR INITIALIZING PRINTER

hi,

i'm trying to print out some reports thru the web browser but i've encountered the following error :
REP-3002 ERROR INITIALIZING PRINTER INFORMATION WHEN RUN_PRODUCT ON WEB fyi, i'm using Reports 6.0 and the report works fine when run on client- server environment. i've since contacted the Oracle Support group and they said they've exhausted all possible remedies ...

one reason given was :
The server needs to have a printer installed for Run_Product to work on the web even though the clients use the printers set up with the client machine and not the printer set up on the server machines.

REP-3002 occurs when there is no printer installed on the server.

i've tried - ADD NEW "PRINT TO FILE" PRINTER ON SERVER and set it as default as well assigning a default network printer to server but things still doesn't work.
