Solaris is better. NT isn't so bad - I would actually rather
administer on NT than say OpenVMS (which I am currently doing) or AIX
(yucky). The gui tools are nicer, and enable a newbie to pick things
up faster (though I would rather have a commandline any day). Plus, I
think the installation goes a bit more smoothly on an NT box (okay, a
lot more smoothly). Just make sure you have all the right service
packs, enough memory and processors and a good backup scheme. However -
just because you can administer an NT server and netwok doesn't
automatically translate to 'easy to learn Oracle on an NT box'.
