There is a Y2K problem with the Oracle Installer program. If you are
reinstalling Software from Old media you
could well have an old version of the installer. I have just had similar
problems installing and Oracle Apps product.
If you have access to Metalink then you can download the latest Y2k
compatible installer from there. Let me know if you cant get to
it and I will send you a copy by E-mail if required.
