It is also possible to just set ORACLE_SID=XXXXXXX (and ORACLE_HOME) before invoking svrmgrl, or add these to oracle's environment via control panel (this updates to registry).

Basically svrmgrl needs ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID to be set before connect internal will function properly.
