I have an VB application which uses a client Access80 database with
attached tables to a Server Oracle 8.0 database. When I try to insert a
record without specifing data for requiered fields. The default values
in the Oracle table description are not inserted into the record. Hence
the database throws back a #deleted for the record. Any hints
I have some oracle people working on this but have not found an answer.
I would like this to work otherwise I will need to write explicit code
the default values. I worked fine when the back end was MS SQLServer.
