Hello,
We have to build a patient care project wherein about 1 million records
are to be stored. These records have personal info regarding patient's
name, social security no, Address etc.
Each of these records have about 5 to 10 documents, which could be his
photograph, His medical history etc. These documents have to be scanned
and stored as an image in the database. These will be fetched when
queried based on his social security number. Apart from querying there
is no other function involved. Whole thing is to be built on ORACLE.
Help required regarding this project.
Is it possible from Oracle forms 5.0 environment, to start a scanner
automatically and scan the pages one by one and store it in the
database. That way the primary key,i.e.Social security number will be
associated with the respective documents.
.If anyone of you have handled a similar project please do let us know
how to handle this?
We have oracle 8.0 installed on NT4.0.
Thanks in advance
