I am guessing here, but I think this question has to do with the Oracle installing asking for three mount points. If not then the previous responses have already answered the question.
During installation it asks "Distribute control files over three mount points?" with the default answer being "yes." What this question is asking is whether for safety reasons you want to make sure that the three copies of your control files are on three separate devices. If you don't have three (or at least two) disks in your system then you should answer "no." If you have multiple disks then it is worth while to put the control files on the separate disks. In order to do that you just need to create directories owned by Oracle on the devices to hold the files. Then during the installation you will be prompted for the names of the directories.
