After patching Oracle8, can't find libclntsh.so.1.0

I applied the patch that Oracle has for Red Hat 6.0 the "fixes" the glibc
problem.  I ran the installer and when it came time to build the database,
svrmgr dies since it can't find libclntsh.so.1.0 in $ORACLE_HOME/lib.  I
took at look at the directory and found libclntsh.so.1.0-pre-glibcpatch but
no libclntsh.so.1.0



Any help/suggestions?
