: under the operating systems tab, you list windows, windows95, windows NT
: etc. Does the first category, "windows" include all the others? if so,
: the numbers don't add up.

Each of the names, windows, windows95, windows NT, and so on, is backed by a set of regular expressions. Whenever a paragraph contains one of the expressions, it counts as a hit (but never more than one). The idea is that this is really a "level of interest" thing. Consider the short paragraph below:

"We are looking for a Windows programmer. Your task will be to develop   Visual Basic applications for Windows 95/NT. Knowledge of UNIX a plus."

This yields 1 hit for Windows, Windows 95, Windows NT, VM, and UNIX. Obviously, this is more a measure of what employers (or search firms) are interested in, than a strict measure of open requisitions.

: also, your definitions; "Visual Basic is Microsoft's application scripting
: language. ".

: Visual Basic is not a scripting language, you may want to re-write some of
: your definitions.

I'm open to suggestions. In the case of VB, I was trying to get across the idea that it was used for application level programming, but isn't quite as down and dirty as something like C.
