US - NYC, NJ ORACLE AND SYBASE DBA

New York, NY and Northern NJ In need of Oracle DBA (full-time and consulting) for Large Financial Services Firm Worldwide!!

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our databases including the building of a data warehouse, ensuring database availability, performance benchmarking, capacity planning, development and end user support. The incumbent must provide coding support, recommendations and oversight for any database development efforts. This position's primary responsibilities are in support of this financial services firm.

Background and Skills:

-3-5 years of database development experience or BS or MS in computer
discipline
-Knowledge of Oracle 8, Data Warehousing, Windows NT, Windows 98 and networking
protocols
-Prior experience with Cognos tools
-Strong Research and communication skills
-Web development exposure is a plus
