Easy question?

Hello all. I am very new to Oracle, and I am having some difficuty. I want to be able to define a function (or procedure) within a group, and then call that function from the After Report report trigger. However, I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Surely Oracle will allow me to do so, but could you please give me an example of the syntax I would need to use? It would be a big help.
