Ok, i can also open an editor copy/paste the special character into the SqlPlus or SqlWorksheet.
But that is not what i meant.

I want to write :

    select x || y
    or
    connect user/password_at_db
without workarounds.

My NLS_LANG Parameter in the registry is "GERMAN_GERMANY.WE8ISO8859P1", but i dont think that this is the problem.
