autorecovery

Hi,if I set autorecovery on and issue "recover database using backup controlfile until cancel", will Oracle apply all redo and archived logs available in log_archive_dest?

I am trying to automate reporting database daily by copying online backups to Reporting database. Is there another way to do it?
