database snapshot

Hi,
I am presently involved with handling g two versions of oracle.one is 7.3.4 and the other is 8.05. what i need is a snapshot of oneof the tables within the 8.05 in 7.3.4. is this possible.if yes how do i do it. my aim finally is to replicate a table in another schema but the columns names are different.
