ORA-00439: feature not enabled: Instead-of triggers

I'm beginning to enjoy migrating applications less and less.

In an attempt to get around the fact that I cannot copy LONG columns to an archive table within a trigger, I followed Thomas Kyte's suggestion to use an instead-of trigger to do a flag delete. The error message in the subject is what I got for my efforts.

I'm using Oracle8 (8.0.4) on NT4 (SP3).
