OAS Java character sets

Hello,

I am developing a system in Japanese, and I am practically stumped as to how to get my Java cartridge to work using the proper character set. I have not been able to get it to even return the URL headers as they came in Japanese. I have set the HTTP class' character set to everything I could possibly imagine, all without luck.

Further, I have just begun trying to match the cartridge to the database's NLS setting, also without luck as of yet.

Has anyone had any experience working with different character sets in the application server's Java cartridge? HELP!!
