Oracle Transparent Gateway

Hi all.
Does anyone could give me more informations about Oracle Transparent Gateway?
My need are to move a data base from Oracle to DB2 OS/390 and continue to access it through a web application that works with many Perl scripts (and OraPerl calls).

I will appreciate any help
