Well, I am trying to install Oracle 8.0.5 on Slackware. Everything was going so nicely... Until.

For some reasong when the installation gets to the point where it runs orapwd it Seg Faults.

I am using Slackware 3.6 and have glibc installed. I have copied the specs.glibc over my default specs file. I have installed glibc-crypt-2.0.96.tar.gz so that it can create the Encryption file.

The database files are getting created. I am using the Installation Doc put together by tbissett_at_fortwayne.com (Great work BTW)

When I execute:

orapwd file=orapwtuxora password=PASSWORD entries=1

I get: Segmentation fault

Suggestions? I am getting SOOOO Close.

Thanks for your help in advanced.
