Using SQL/Net with Oracle 7.3 and Oracle 8

I'have listening that using SQL/NET for accesing an Oracle7 server and an
Oracle 8 on the same PC could cause somme problems. Could someone explain me
what sort of problem can occur in a such situation and how to solve it.
