Crosstab SQL Query

Can anyone tell me of an easy way to obtail cross-tab results from a SQL query?
For example:

   select a, b, c, d
   from table (with 3 rows)
Required results:
 col row1 row2 row3

---

  a row1 row2 row3
  b row1 row2 row3
  c row1 row2 row3
  d row1 row2 row3 Received on Thu Aug 06 1998 - 00:01:16 CDT
