Are we not all operating the database in ARCHIVELOG mode ?!
Especially if you in the first place was planning on making a hot
backup of the database, since you obviuosly need to be operational
close to 100% of the time.. :)
(ie, I took it for granted that the database in question was in ARCHIVELOG
mode)
