Linking to access

Hi Folks,

With Respect to Oracle ODBC Drivers...

Does anyone know how I can successfully attach an Oracle table which contains fields of type numeric(10) to an Access 95 or newer MDB file ? Access seems to convert the field to a long, and then refuses to open the table as some values can be beyond the limit of a long. I need to insist that it gets converted to a double.

This is not a problem with the MS ODBC drivers, but I think the Oracle ones are faster.

Many Thanks - Richard. Received on Fri Nov 28 1997 - 00:00:00 CST
