I don;'t know of any solutions for LINUX either, but if you can get your hands on a Windows box, you use SimbaExpress to do ODBC over the Internet to Oracle. To see what I mean, you can go to Simba's Web site and demo their solution (SimbaExpress) using the Java/JDBC demo that connects to an Oracle db over the Net.
