Hi,

ORACLE is a client/server relational database management system. To learn oracle you first have to learn the principals of relational database management system to get the theory behind all this. Oracle is one (the market leader) besides other vendors of c/s rdbms. To get a good entry into the specificas of oracle it's good to work through the oracle-press books: 'DBA-Handbook', 'Complete Reference'.
