Partition view with date data type

I've defined a partition view using a date column. It's working to an extent, in that my explain plan says it's using the partition, but filtering ALL of the tables.

I built the partition view as described in the Oracle7 Server Tuning Appendix C.

Is there something specific in a select statement for making this work properly?
