Basic SQL*PLUS Question

Hi,

How to specify the directory/find out default directory where SQL*PLUS stores the SQL scripts.

example :

SQL> select count(*) from tab;

15

SQL> save count.sql
cannot create save file

Any ideas/suggestions are appreciated.
