and you get a ton of books https://www.safaribooksonline.com/pricing/ not just o'reilly but apress and other publishers too

It also gives you access to video trainings.. and what I've noticed they are more focused on the big data/data science area than the competitors (pluralsight, lynda, tuts+). See their learning paths here http://shop.oreilly.com/category/learning-path.do

Also, you have access to audio books and the awesome part about the subscription is the conference recordings. The velocityconf, fluent, Strata + Hadoop World are all there
