PSU question when using RAC

I need confirmation/rejection of my understanding of PSUs on RAC.
We're in the process of patching (upgrading in some cases) all our database
environments.
We have an 11.2.0.4 RAC and I wanted to double check something.
When applying the OCT 2015 PSU and OJVM Patch on RAC, we ALSO have to apply the OCT 2015 GI patch. Is that true?
The reason I ask is that the patch list in the Patch Set Update and Critical Patch Update Availability Document October 2015 (2037108.1) list the patches as:
*Combo OJVM PSU 11.2.0.4.5 and Database PSU 11.2.0.4.8 Patch 21744343

So, I'm confused as it seems I need either the OJVM + Database PSU, or OJVM+GI but NOT BOTH?
I would have thought I needed:
OJVM + GI + DATABASE
