Might be worth reading the MOS note:
Exadata Bundle Patches and Non-Exadata Systems (Doc ID 1459365.1)
"The answer is "*No*" if customers do not have an affiliated Exadata system, they *should not* apply Exadata Bundle Patches to non-Exadata systems. The patching route for non-Exadata customers should be via CPU/PSUs."
This advice is then contradicted in the same note for 12.1.0.2, which it seems Oracle are very happy to allow you to patch a non-exa system with an exadata BP.
I'd be careful on pre-12.1.0.2 DBs though.
