We are looking for a Senior DBAs with in our team in Mountain View, CA, USA. If anyone is interested please send me an email directly.
Here are the brief JD:
Be working on a high pace dynamic database operation environment supporting
production operation of multiple business critical databases like
PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL, Greenplum
Perform typical DBA work building infrastructure for database provisioning,
monitoring, backups, performance tuning, security, customer support for
troubleshooting.
Evaluate and upgrade database, work with SA on OS integration and upgrade
Research and explore new database technologies, tools, features to enhance
our database infrastructure’s manageability, availability, scalability and
productivity.
Participate on-call rotation for all database environment support including
DEV, QA, and PROD
capacity planning and forecast proactively
SQL review and design review and consultation
work with database vendors for support and troubleshooting
TO WIN IN THIS ROLE, YOU NEED:
Solid understanding of Unix/Linux kernel basics
Solid understanding of RDBMS and NOSQL theories
Fluent programming skills in couple of these areas, shell scripts, python,
perl, java
Hands on DBA experience with at least one of RDBMSs (PostgreSQL preferred)
on Unix/Linux production environment
DBA experience with MongoDB is a nice plus
A problem solver who can identify the problems and find solutions
A team player who is eager to share, to learn and to innovate
A good communicator who speaks, writes well to customers, peers
A good engineer who knows priority, who knows technologies and understands
business you support and makes the right decision based on bigger picture
