Re: pvid not updating on node2 on aix oracle rac install

Thanks Stefan for the quick response. Can you please clarify this statement: "As you already got the pvid on node 1 you should only run the command on node 2". Are you referring to command chdev or cfgmgr here?

Here is what i have done:
a) Node 1
-- shell> chdev -l hdisk<X> -a pv=yes

At this point, i have a pvid on node1 and node2 has pvid none.

b) Node 2
-- shell> cfgmgr -S

When i run only cfgmgr -S on node2, it still reports as none. Should i run chdev on node2 as well? or should i expect it to automatically change from none to pvid value, when i issue chdev on node1. Thanks.
