George, you're certainly not unethical for asking. I don't have this particular doc, but I've got other "documents" that I provided for clients in my freelance consulting days -- it would be routine to send a sample TOC (demonstrating scope) to a potential client and something similar could be provided for George (certainly by a helpful peer, in certain circumstances by a client). Not all material is confidential; some companies will give an idea of scope of specific services right on their website. Since my documents are my own material that I developed while I was freelancing, I own the IP on them. Yeah the "competitive" thing to do would be to never share anything at all... but we're just talking about scope here, and I'm not in the business currently, and there are people who might help out other small shops in a marketplace that's dominated by big ones.
