I just tried the OL install and see what you mean. Looks like someone is trying hard to drive us to unattended installs.

I'm downloading CentOS now to see how close they've emulated the RedHat install process.

If it's close to CentOS, your comment may be off the mark, as those kinds of changes are coming *from the user base* through Fedora community.

Depending on the purpose of your install, that may be a good thing. For one thing, SELinux is compatible with DB 12, and I suspect that compatibility between OL7 and 11gR2 is a low priority if it happens at all. In anything other than a test environment, I'd want both Firewall on and SELnux at least monitoring, if not Enforcing.

I also note that MOS Cert for database does not even know about Oracle Linux 7 yet, never mind be able to say yay/nay.
