Hi,
I have to mount 2 instances in a same server, one of 10g and another of 11g. I would like about recommendations to follow please. For example, do you recommend me use a same oracle user or one for each instance, for example, one named oracle10 and another named oracle11 :-? If I do this, there will be 2 orainventory directories? Is it a bad practice? Or I can indicated the same orainventory of the first installation and it isn't bad practice?
I have thought for example a base dir for 10g as /u01/app/oracle10 and base dir for 11g as /u01/app/oracle11.
And about listener, may I configure only the 11g listener for both instances or do you recommend me that each one has its own listener? Some more recommendations please?
Thanks beforehand.
