Sanjay,

Is your RMAN archivelog deletion policy set to APPLIED ON STANDBY on the production database?

If so, the FRA filling up on standby could stop it from deleting archivelogs after you back them up, which in turn could cause the FRA on production to fill up. Check the logs from your production backups for errors like

*RMAN-08120: WARNING: archived log not deleted, not yet applied by standby.*
