3-4 years ago, to test new version of RAC/ASM, I bought a PC with 24GB memory and i7 CPU for <AUD$1600. But VM boot is very slow, now it's good time to add some SSD as plenty of slots still left on the motherboard.
Beside, I power on the PC var Wake-on-Lan with router port forwarding, don't want to leave it on 24*7.
