I second that!
I have been a few sites where people question what sort of no-downtime when you shutdown an instance and all connection dies. To make people Not to notice and instance shutdown event the only sort of domestic way is to use services and shutdown the service down for a few hours so no new connections can be made, after that shutdown the instance
