Instead of doing that, which could negatively affect other things, it was pretty easy to find the 12c Agent perl script that was doing the errant call.
But it's just one more band-aid whose glue gets worn over time. A solo DBA (and acting AIX SA) just doesn't have luxury of macgyvering the numerous issues with Oracle software. And that's without including the "those errors are harmless, just ignore them" ones (so how am I supposed to know which ORA-1 errors are OK?).
End of rant and thread hijacking. Back to making databases and taking names. :)
