Hi all,
Just a quick update here. I have been quite annoyed, as I’m sure many of you have, with the occasional posting that comes through, very much resembling gibberish.
An example of which looks like:
6‹m¡×§-~º&¶?¢ž×§uçj¹ë-Š‰ÿnë]¡ë-…ë^ÆÛ!£?©jË*¹ªÞ±©ÝþŠÚœF¬´?"j{?®*m~ŠÚŸ*'yél{ó§2‰Ýk/ÎrÚ?z½¼ÿm5ßü+¢×ÿüÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿøÿÿúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿþkÿÿÿÿÿb?ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ{ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿýßÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿûÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿûÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ?ÿþHÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿúÿÿøð—ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ×ÿ
That’s no fun, and really annoying, especially when you re-send the message, and the same thing happens again!
Well, I had a conversation with John Madden, who is one of the Freelists admin guys, and he suggested changing a couple of settings. I have made those changes, and, we are hopeful that this problem has been resolved.
If you see any more gibberish messages come through (and *especially* if you can repeatably make them happen), please let me know.
Ideally, this is a thing of the past, and we won’t have to worry about it any more.
Time will tell….
Thanks,
-Mark
PS If you have any questions/concerns/comments about this issue, please reply to me off-list. Thanks!
