Alex you are right, I do see features deprecated in 9i still in use today. I just get a sinking feeling recommending using something for a new project when I know the feature is deprecated and future of it is uncertain. If we already had CDC running successfully and all the kinks worked out then by all means I would milk it for as long as it makes sense.
Job I was just finishing up with part 3 when your response came through. I didn't know about the tutorial though, that is fantastic. I will check it out and see if it is a possible direction for us. I think either way we need to take a stronger look at ODI, I can see some other projects that may benefit from it and the Reference Architecture.
