I have now idea, and am surprised and suspicious. The vendor said so, and he is selling his product with an embedded license... Details are in a black box, all I know is that is how he presents it to his clients. If I was a client... well... who knows.

Say what? RMAN is included in SE, isn't it? It is in XE even. Why would you not be allowed to use it?
